Seeking answer to cure painful scalp

I haven't been around for multiple issues, life included. Just had an extended-length in-house VEEG that lasted for eight days. Due to this VEEG results were wonderful, progress was made. On the flip side, because EEG leads with glue stayed on scalp for long periods of time redness and sensitivity in those areas came about.

With that being said, when washing my hair the areas that are sensitive are quite sensitive to the touch at this time. I have a particular shampoo and conditioner that is used for my hair to keep it healthy now that I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Prior to leaving the hospital for discharge I asked the management staff if using these products would be of issue and had been said by those present it should not be. Note, I do not wash my hair daily or weekly due to the rheumatoid.

After first wash of hair I did manage to get majority of EEG glue out with some left so now there is a small amount of EEG glue left. I am already planning to contact medical doctor on this matter should things not improve. What I would like to know is are their others who have gone through an extended VEEG that can bring about such sores. If so, how are they worked through?

Stay strong Surbear! Hopefully you got some information from the whole ordeal.
I fortunately never had glue problems. At my age I’m holding on to every strand. My daughter always liked the joke. “My hairline is so far back I have a five head.” Then she would measure with her little hands.

What I am more concerned on are sections where the EEG leads were sitting for long lengths of time to leave actual pressure marks that are sensitive. The only thing I can think of is use of ice but the area is sensitive to touch so unsure of a direction as I've never gone through extended VEEG (over seven days) - this has raised a very large question.

I do appreciate your thoughts as I'm doing everything to keep strong on this one.

Hi Suebear,

I had a 10 day veeg and take my word it was no fun getting the glue out of my hair. What I did was get
a toothbrush and the Dr. told me to put a very small amount of hydrogen peroxide on the toothbrush and
then scub my head where all the glue was and I was surprised the glue came right out with no problem.

When it comes to your arthritis get some hempvana (medical marijuana) you can find it in Walmart
it works great for arthritis and back pain and just a little bit lasts for hours.
