my son has seizures his hands make a fist and tremors the other nite he had a different kind of seizure his doctor said just keep a look out for it and try to video tape it. My son is going under for hernia surgery his ped. nero said he is fine to go under.I am a little worried about it. Last week we up his med and his doctor said give it time to work. I am unsure if I want to post-pone the surgry for a couple of months or just get it done. Any suggestions or advice

I wouldn't let it hold you back.
-I had to have surgery for a hernia when I was 7, best to get it done as soon as you can.
-I've gone under 4 times throughout my E and it's never been an issue.

I've been put to sleep three times. Twice as a child and once as an adult. The first time I had a couple seizures later that day, but then, during those years I was having seizures so regularly that it was probably coincidence. The other two times I was fine.

I wouldn't hesitate to be put to sleep because of my epilepsy.

I've had two surgeries under general anesthesia, with no issues. Hope things go well for your son.
