I'm curious to see if anyone else has heard of this. I realized the other week that my daughter has had a number of her seizures in the car. When my ped and i were talking i mentioned it and she said that made sense because the "slip stream" effect of the world zipping by the window could be triggering the seizure.

Has anyone else heard of or experienced this? And if so is there anything you can buy for a large window to help cut that down a bit without obstructing the drivers view?

Any time you want to limit visual effects, you may cross a legal issue. The only thing I could think of that would limit the slip stream effect is high tint levels. In my state, there s no maximum tint on rear windows, but the front side windows as well as the windshield is limited. Anything that may block the view of the driver may also be considered illegal.

When trying to sleep in the car, I wrap my eyes with a keffiyeh. :D

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if any specific visual effect would be to blame for causing seizures.

If your daughter is photosensitive, the distortions or stimulation caused by motion or dappled light could be triggering. Sometimes specialized glasses can help. See http://irlen.com/
