Did a search, couldn't seem to find an exact topic on this..
Ever since my GCSEs about 6 or 7 years ago, I've had an increasing issue with writing and reading on paper (PCs are fine however) and continuously have myoclonic jerks that vary in severity (sometimes I'll just have a quick chill-jerk, other times it will be pretty severe and I'll end up feeling really out of sorts and I'll throw the pen at someone
)
It's been getting progressively worse to the point I can barely fill in a form these days and it's a bit embarrassing, however my neurologist always dismisses me when I talk about it. I'm a University student and it's ruining my education, how do I make them listen? Also is this a common thing with JME or is it more likely reading epilepsy that I've read about in the past?
Thanks in advance xx
(Bit more background, I was diagnosed with JME at 13 but 23 now and on Topiramate 175MG twice a day)
