Hi Guys
my seizures have become more frequent of late and it is taking me a lot longer to recover from them, also in the days after I am very nauseaous.
Is this common to have such a big change in pattern and after effects?

Hi your question was something I was just going to post I have just gone all unsettled and seem to be having new types of things happen have you ever had controll of your sz's?

Hi
yeah about a year ago everything seemed to be settling down, so my meds were all kept the same but in the past 6 weeks they have gone haywire again. It's all come out of the blue to be honest because a few months ago i was thinking 'at last some kind of normality'

Luckily it has been a long time for me, but the nausea is definitely a symptom for me. I always decribe it as the worst possible hangover you can imagine ... times 2. However, the nausea doesn't usually last days for me. My following days are usually severe fatigue.

That's exactly it! the worlds worst hangover I am so feeling it right now, it won't even let me sleep

The post-seizure period can be pretty lousy. I've found that it can be worse depending on how nasty the seizure is in terms of physical injuries/stress, but also if you've gotten dehydrated. If you can, make sure you are getting enough to drink and eat. And if you ache somewhere take it easy -- add a heating pad or ice or the pain-reliever that works for you. Be Gentle with yourself.

I used to get very nauseous after even bouts of diarrhea and yea the worse the seizure the worse the post ictal phase. My seizures and symptoms were ever changing.

Hi, Scouser,

After seizures I get stomach pain, sometimes nausea, and a migraine. Plus exhaustion. I never thought of it as a bad hangover, but that really is what it feels like.

They are right about water. Drink lots.
