Hello everyone! I just want to get your take on what I experienced today and also ask for a bit of encouragement.

This morning around 3:30, I was awakened by this high pitched squeaky sound. I felt like I was sound asleep, but the noise brought me out of it. I was thinking it may have been something outside, so I went back to sleep. About 15 minutes ago (which is 9 hours after the squeaky noise), I felt this sudden pain in my stomach, so I thought maybe I needed to use the restroom (Sorry TMI). My left arm began to feel numb so I held it downward thinking that would help. It then started to feel heavy like the blood was rushing to my fingertips. Simultaneously, my left leg began to cramp. Weird, but I also began to have a pain on the bridge of my nose. I felt anxiety as well, but I don't know if that started first or came after the other things.

I now have a new neurologist and have my first appointment with her next Monday, but I'm a bit unsure of what I should do, should this happen again before I see her.

I was diagnosed with TLE in March 2015 so I'm fairly new. I don't want to overreact and assume every ailment is related to E, but I also don't want to discount it as "not a big deal" and miss out on the opportunity to do something to help myself.

Any advice is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Since you are now officially a patient of the neurologist, phone the office and ask to speak to the doctor's nurse if there is one. Explain that you had a concerning episode that is not typical of your usual seizures (which I'm guessing is the case or you would not be as concerned as you are) and that you would like to know what to do if another one occurs between now and your appointment a week from now. As you know a seizure generally lasts no more than 2-3 minutes; have the symptoms completely cleared now? If not, you should immediately get to a doctor to rule out a mini-stroke, as these can cause similar symptoms.

Otherwise, continue to keep notes in your seizure journal about this and other "odd" episodes in the event they are determined to be seizures or seizure-related.

Yes, the symptoms have cleared. Thank you for the excellent suggestion, masterjen! I will call right now.
