Sorry I haven't been here for so long! But I have an interesting question.

Just a while ago I was have the offset of a simple partial attack, having simple partials for several hours after getting a nap. This happens during my period - what's strange is that my period started 12 days early!

Anyways, I was crying, pacing around, cursing, punching my bed, and I even yelled a loud vicious yell like a rabid stinkpot. I was very grouchy - the reason why - I needed a cigarette REALLY REALLY bad. I smoke 1 cigarette every 30 mins. to an hour. So, several hours without 1, including the stress from the simple partials themself(who enjoys having simple partials?).

Anyways, I couldn't stand it. Of course, it's not safe to smoke cigs or even eat while having a simple patial session, but I wasn't going into a convulsion, so I'm happy that my dad agreed to allow me to smoke one as long as I was sitting beside him.

After the cig I stopped having the simple partials.

Every one knows that smoking cigs are bad, even though it does not effect epilepsy, is it possible that the cig is what helped get rid of the SPs? Maybe because my body was relaxed now? Or maybe just a coincidence?

I will really appreciate an answer!

Regards,

Sounds to me like they could me catamenial seizures, since they are happening during your period. IMO, the cigarettes didn't help with SP seizures. I think the seizures just ran their course, a simple coincidence. Shame on your dad for allowing you to smoke during a seizure. He should be looking out for you, not enabling you. There are better and more healthy ways to relax than smoking.
