You may be right Robin

You might be right Robyn, I do drink way too much pop. And my mom has also said maybe I should lay off it. It may help my seizures to not have so much sugar in my blood.

There is also a theory about the aluminum cans. No solid proof yet though.

This is surely an easy experiment to make.
Also don't look to too many alternative "drinks" either like Snapple and such. They have High Fructose Corn Syrup that is in the news a creating a load of health issues. Fresh juice and water are the best. We have switched to fresh lemonade (not premixed or bottled or canned unless we read the label). It can not contain any additives including Citric Acid which is a hidden MSG.

Worth the try IMO

Do you actually squeeze your own? Or do you know of a brand that doesn't have all the nasties in it?

I'm always tired. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get. I'm always tired.

You need to do some research on this Hawke. Take charge of it, because it is a message that something is not right. You are missing some vitamin or mineral would be my best guess.
Google "tiredness" or "always tired" or something similar and see what you find.

As crazy as it sounds, the more sleep you get the more tired you are.
AED's and seizures are both notorious for depleting vitamins and minerals in our bodies, which can lead to fatigue. Have you looked into iron? I'm almost always iron deficient unless I stick religiously to a strong iron supplement.
best wishes,
Tracy.

I am lazy and buy an organic brand, but if that wasn't available I would use an old juicer and make my own. It really isn't that difficult. I use to juice oranges all the time.

Sleep and epilepsy

When I started having trouble with sleep I found out about a vitamin that was good for epilepsy called "MELATONIN" which was helpful for sleep just follow the directuons.

Hawke,

have you had your thyroid checked lately, out of curiosity? Ask your doctor if he can run a blood test to check it since you're always so tired......it may not be working right...

Yes I have read that too David. Sue Othmer recommended it as well for Rebecca when she complained about sleep issues.

Robin,
They did metabolic, CBC, and checked all other conditions that I might have in Dallas and here. There was only one problem a little low on potassium which is now normal and I sleep fine without any medicinrs it's just being stressed out and hot where I live now!
David

I use it, too....

and it does help me, quite a bit. There are varying dosages of it...start out at a LOW dose and work from there, and you should be good to go.

MAKE SURE YOU TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR FIRST...

*chuckle* whwept, I forgot how much soda teens can drink.....definitely cut back on the sodas...and all other caffeine like coffees or starbucks..They actually work against your meds.
