I don't understand slow brain waves. Makes me feel like I am intellectually slow or something. I know it means seizure activity but when I get an EEG I think everything is great and then the neuro tells me I have slowing but it's not as bad as when I have grand mals.

Slowing has nothing to do with intelligence! An EEG that has slowing present indicates an excess of energy measured in mv (microvolts) in the slowest waves. These slowest waves are delta and theta bands, and are associated with drowsiness and sleep. All people produce delta and theta waves, but they're considered abnormal if they show up in an awake adult.
