My daughter has a TBI injury March 18, 2010. and dr. thought he saw a seizure in October of 2010. and put her on Keppra. I never saw one, but thought any of the 20 some stimulant meds they had her on could cause seizures and or the withdrawal of the meds she was on. But still I didn't see what they did. of course seizures look different in a TBI patient.

Now I want to wein her off Keppra. I know that it can cause side effects if done too quickly. The pharmacy mentioned Diastat for emergancies.
She was on Keppra 500 MG 2 x per day and I cut the pill in half this am but now she seems so sleepy. Maybe I cut it too much by cutting in 1/2???????? Anyone have any thoughts on this????

you definitely need to talk to a doctor about this , and as far as going down too much too fast ( im no doctor ) but that seems like alot at one time , doctors normally have you come off a med mucccchhhhh slower than that , but like i said im no doctor , so you should definitley speak to one about this
