Im not sure if the lamictal is cuasing nausea, sometimes I wake up with nausea in the moring. But also I notice it after smoking (cigarettes) and drinking coffee.

Ive cut coffee out already, has anyone else found smoking cigarettes has caused nausea with epilepsy ?

Hi --

Nausea is definitely one of the side effects of Lamictal. Since you are waking up with the nausea, I would tend to suspect the Lamictal more than the smoking. Since both caffeine and nicotine have stimulant effects, perhaps they affect the metabolism and/or absorption of the Lamictal in a way that makes the side effects worse.
