It has been almost 2 months since my last doctor's appointment and I still haven't seen the Neurologist. I am guessing that my doctor thinks that it was just a dream. Anyways, I have a question......I sometimes have weird sensations before i fall to sleep at night. Sometimes it is after i have had a couple of glasses of wine or other types of alcohol and i am starting to fall asleep. I feel like i am SPACING OUT. It is such a weird sensation. I cannot feel my body at all and it SCARES me and i jerk myself awake so i don't feel like i am in nothingness. I started to get this sensation after taking Valetrex when i got the chicken pox about 6 years ago. It was supposed to help with the severity of the virus. This feeling seemed to diminish after time but EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE, i still FEEL WEIRD just before falling asleep. Could this be a warning sign that I might have a seizure in the near future?? If anyone knows, please feel free to comment. Thanks!

Hi everyone;
I am back and hopefully will know soon what is going on with me. I just went to the Neurologist today (GEE IT ONLY TOOK 7 MONTHS TO GET IN TO SEE HIM). I told him what had happened, so he is sending me for blood work and some tests. So i will hopefully find out (Maybe in 2 months time...no sarcasm here.....rolling eyes). I just thought i would update on here. I also told him about my episodes with alcohol and going to sleep (read my last post). Thanks for reading this. Comment if you would like. THANKS!

Are you taking any other meds at this time?

No, I just went to the Neurologist yesterday. He has to do testing. I haven't had ANY episodes since my last massage appointment. So that's a GOOD THING. However, i still get that weird feeling after having some alcohol -where i feel like i am going to zone out and cannot feel by body. It doesn't happen that ofter, just very rarely but still happens and throws me for a loop. I usually have to shake myself out of it before it gets out of control and i lose control. It only happens just before i go to sleep. So he knows about this and is going to do some testing on that too. Sleep apnea and stuff of that nature.

Yes i do feel better that she didn't see or hear anything unusual coming from me. .

Just wanted to tell you that I have (absence seizures) and the people around me even my husband does know anything is happening unless they see my face.

K. Thanks for your response. I am still glad she couldn't hear me. If this is all a dream that i have experienced, it is sure very weird. Hopefully soon i will find out either way.
