... okay it may only be a tiny bit. but hey. progress is progress right?

So my GP FINALLY got to speak to my neurologist person to person today and not some random person.

After seeing my GP this morning and 2 phone calls later we are here:
I can go back onto the dose of anti depressant I was on before (yaaaaaaaaaaay!), they can't move my appointment forward because the clinic is overbooked, but she is going to do the tests they need before the appointment so we have everything ready, and she has given my GP her direct line now incase my GP needs to talk to her again in person and I will be seeing my GP weekly :)

So, feeling kinda okay, she's booking the EEG for me, reckon I can hold out another month with my GP by my side.

Congrats! I went through the same thing with mine. they tried to switch me to a different anti-depressant, but it just knocked me out... I was out of work at the time and I literally slept all day and all night on the stuff... I guess I wasn't depressed!! LOL. Then they switch me back to the one I was on origionally and things got much better and with no problems with my seizure meds.

Has been working great since and have been much better since. They also let me back on my adderall, which has made a world of difference for me.

Good Luck!!!

Thank you for the reply. Not actually met Dr V (I'm referring to my neuro as Dr V because Her full name is stupidly long!) but apparently she is really nice.
I'm over stressing about this EEG now. Well, more worried it comes back clear and then I'm banging my head on a brick wall. GAH!

Cherriuz,

Baby steps to progress and you will slowly climb the mountain.

Try not to let the EEG consume you and for today, enjoy the progress.

Funny how so many of the nuerologist's names are so long!

All my EEG's came back clear... as did my Video EEG... as did both my MRI's (they had some super giant killer MRI machine they sent me to), as did my MEG (some other giant, killer machine that I had to drive to the university to do since they were the only one in the state that had one)... But I have a VERY rare type of epilepsy that they don't know a lot in adults, so it's not surprising. Don't mean to worry you...

Seriously.. mine is SUPER rare.. like only 15-20 cases in the US per year. I'm sure yours will fare much better.

Best of luck with it. Keep us posted!
