Danielle, my Twin Sis and I have always composed music since we were 6 years old. We are self-taught and continue to learn on our own. The last few days have been horrible as far as my migraine, trip to the ER for treatment and a few seizures on the same day.. no good. So I went into the studio, sat down and wanted to express myself in music. I often "talk" to my keyboards and instruments- tell them how I am, in playing and notes- not speaking to them like a person lol. That would be kinda odd lol.
Its a way for the to speak and share something so personal from myself to others. I have wondered if our Epilepsy has some sort of connection with our ability to compose music- I don't know really..
Anyways- yesterday since I was feeling a lot better from Phenergan shot and pain went away- I walked into the studio and came up with the basic framework for this song and Dani walked in and started up the guitar on her synthesizer and we had a song by the end of our session in the studio. Its called "Free Spirit" and can be heard on Youtube under my channel MsMotif6.

It made me feel happy and excited when it was done I had to put it up there for everyone interested in listening. I had a lot more to add- my channel is new so just the one up there right now. Thesynthfreq is my twin sister's channel and a lot more of our music is up there.

So- I feel that our Epilepsy, vision and hearing impairment have never stopped us from composing and enjoy being a musician and composer.

Everyone take care and be safe.

Crystal- I don't create music, but I wish I could. I create other things, maybe I will post a pic of my "best" work. After my diagnosis, I got really down and frustrated by all that I couldn't do, that I needed to know there were some things I could still do. I made one of my best creations I call "self-portrait" I will try to take a pic today.

My words, when I finished it, were- "That can't be taken from me"!!!!:woot:

When I got put on my epilepsy pills I found that my "get up and go" just got up went! lol

I used to write 300 page stories (some with illustrations) and a lot of poetry. I can't do it anymore - no matter how much I want to. It gets me down sometimes.
