and I don't know what to think of it???

They want to enroll me in a program call AccordantCare because of my E. It is at no additional cost and is specifically for those individuals with chronic illnesses/diseases like E, MS, RA, Lupus, etc. They call it a "personal health care support system". ANyone ever heard of it...what was your experience? I can't find any reviews on the darn thing :ponder:

My insurance has something similar. I signed up, and it was a waste of my time. Annoying calls from a nurse working off a scripted program, and she knew nothing about my disorder or problems. Maybe your program will be better. It's a totally different company and program.

I'm very curious to know what you think of it.

My plan sounded very similar. Note "cost containment" is a major goal.

I don't know...but would it be worth it to give them a shot? Or call a representative? I "googled" it and didn't find any personal testimonials on page one...

Maybe because they're too new?

My mom said she was on something similar with their old insurance company that was great with getting her all of her diabetic supplies.

I don't know...My husband says I should talk to them. I just don't want somebaody calling and annoying me all of the time and interfering with my doctors. Thans for the links Phylis :)...they pretty much said the same thing as all of the handouts they sent. I just find it odd that there isn't one testimonial from one individual anyplace. I went thru several pages when I googled it. Weird :ponder:

I got a similiar letter from Aetna. I signed up and then found out they were questioning my medications and making suggestions for changes (of course they were all cheaper or generic drugs). I really felt their need to save a few bucks and try to take my doctors' place was a job for my insurance company. I opted out and told them not to contact me again!

I think they may be a new name, service or entity to either CVS or Blue Cross. I remember seeing CVS at the headline, and I seem to remember BC being mentioned somewhere in one of the links, but that might just have been a comparison.

Otherwise, there would be NO reason for there to be no testimonials.

Having written promo copy for insurance (in my last life), the strongest selling promotion was a series of little brochures with case histories ad testimonials. Testimonials are a very powerful tool. That's why I was looking for them.

That was my thinking too Phylis...there should be testimonials or some form of review. They ARE a part of the CVS Caremark system and my insurance company is Blue Cross Blue Shield

dfwtexas, my biggesst concern is interference with my doctor care and relationship and the insurance company definitely has no business sticking their greasy little fingers in it. I'm pretty hard headed when it comes to my drugs although I don't have the issue some do with taking generics. My neuro doesn't appreciate that I told her no more aeds with excessive weight gain as a side-effect.
