I am not diagnosed as epeleptic, and have not had a seizure.
However, regardless of how crazy this sounds, I believe i will have one soon
I was diagnosed with diabetes 4 weeks ago (t2) I also take the snri venlafaxine, which ive taken at the same dose, since 2002 (300mg in day)
So my reasons for thinking this are as follows (and i would appreciate a reply from anyone that can relate to this):
1)involuntary movements (neck and arms). SNRI not responsible
2)brain zaps from the atypical snri venlafaxine withdrawal (even though i take it - the posh term for this apparent poop out is tachyphilaxis). Anyone who has experienced zaps does not need peer reviewed studies to know that surplus electric currents in the brain are involved. Goodness only knows the damage done by a high does of this drug, but asuming it does damage the brain, i believe that is a factor edging me closer to epilepsy.
3)Micro Seizures. I dont know what else to call them. they happen as i nod off to sleep now (not like regular dreams of falling etc) and when i wake i have a few seconds of utter dread and fear which passes. My own belief is that this is the feeling when you are right on the borderline. The movements in bed are quite spectacular, but only "once".
4) A strange feeling every time i have a movement. Disorientation and a wee bit of fear, which also passes. Feeling like im going to pass out.
5) T2 diabetes and high blood sugar (hyperglycemia) (have changed diet and booze habits to compensate.
6)high cholesterol. Listen, im a chef and its difficult to not eat fries when there are 5000 of them in front of you glistening and beckoning you like thin potato sirens.. (have changed diet to accommodate).
Im obviously not looking for a diagnosis, but rather input. I have a doc appointment next this week which i will prob take this message to
thanks for your time peeps, live the life you love, love the life you live.
