I have these feelings come and go. On the left side of my neck I get this twitching feeling. Just below my jaw. My right shoulder/arm gets a loss of feeling. I wonder if it's seizure related. I have been told I need to see a shoulder surgeon about my shoulder and arm. About 15 years ago I did have surgery on my right shoulder cause I tore the rotator cuff. They also said I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder. About 12 years I was in the hospital cause I had a stroke. Could any of this cause those strange feelings. I have also had surgery done to my right knee. I might need surgery the second time. It just feels strange when you can't feel your right side. Could any of what I been feeling be warning signs of anything serious?

It could be a warning sign of a seizure. You can have an aura with out a seizure, but if the problem persists for a long time, I would probably see someone about it.

It can be a type of a seizure Hawke. Rebecca had twitching in her leg when she was on a certain type of medication.

You did mention that you have a load of problems, I see now what you are talking about.
Sorry that you are having to deal with this Hawke. I really am. I hope you get it figured out.

Hi Hawke! I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. If I were you, I would definitely call my doctor.

Dizziness

Lately I have been feeling extremely dizzy and I don't know why. Has anyone ever felt that way? Sometimes when I get dizzy it makes me feel sick to my stomach. I wish I knew what could be causing it. That dizziness comes and goes.

Hey Hawke,

Could it be a medicine maybe? Make sure you drink plenty of fluids..maybe check your blood pressure. Check it out with your Dr. Hope you feel better!
I hate feeling dizzy too.

Michelle

That's something I forget to do sometimes. Sometimes I don't drink enough fluids.

That can certainly cause dizziness!! Drink water Hawke..gatorade helps if you are able to drink that. My son gets dizzy and has to do this.

I had that happen a lot when I added two meds to the one I had been taking for a long time. I think Michelle is right that it can be a dehydration/electrolyte imbalance thing.

Hawke:

You really need to pick up the phone and have a talk
with your Doctor about these problems and issues you
are experiencing - I can see from the multiple threads
you have posted:

Numbness, dizziness, etc - You could be having a
problem with your medication or something else; and
you really need to be re-evaluated by a Medical Doctor.

We are NOT Medical Doctors here.

I think you mentioned in another thread that you are scheduled to see a doctor soon. Is that right? Hard some days to wait for the appointment when you are feeling lousy.

Maybe you could set a timer Hawke, or an alarm to remind you to drink your water. If it is that hot there, you might need a little more now.

hey Hawke- I concur with the others, medical advice is recommended. I lost all of Memorial Day weekend plus some due to starting neurontin again...felt drunk as a skunk:ponder:room spinning the whole bit-numbness is not a thing to play around with though. Better to be safe than sorry. i do hope you feel better soon though and have a glass of water, on me:banana:

"seizure feeling"

hi all

i am on Lamictin and Topamax. I have been seizure free for 3 yrs minus 1 grand mal i had a year ago when i had the flu. but over the past few months i have been having "seizure feelings". my neurologist increased my topamax but i only got a lot of side effects and the feeling dimmed slightly but didn't go away. he is now decreasing them to even less than they were before and they "feeling" is worse than ever and i am not even on my old dose. i am not sure if it is an aura as i haven't had a seizure or could it be a warning maybe?

please if anyone could help.
Tam
