I just recently started college, and since last august my seizures have been under great control. But since I started classes they have started again. I have cluster seizures most of the time (petite mal). However, they only happen in one class. Always about 1/2 an hour into my history class (about 9:30) I start having cluster seizures. The class has been in different rooms, so i don't believe it's ther oom. I have otehr classes at teh same time on different days and I don't experiance seizures then. is it possible the class or the professor's voice can trigger seizures?

I would try and see if the instructor has any online classes or recordings and listen/watch them. See if a seizure occurs in response to the sound.
You could video your class and watch it to see if anything you are not aware of is happening. Next time in class, wear something over your ears, possibly safe music, so that you do not hear anything in the room, and see if a seizure occurs as usual, in response to .... ? a smell...?
Who knows, maybe something in your diet is kicking in and affecting you at that time of the day.

If it were at the same time every day, I would suggest that it's related to your metabolism. But since it only happens in that class regardless of time or location, maybe it has to do with one of your classmates or your prof. Does anyone wear perfume? Does your professor show slides or use multimedia? Does the class make you feel stressed-out?Is there anything about your routine before your history class? Sometimes there can be a delayed effect from something that happens earlier in the day.

time of day, stress, how many thought at once, trying to remember a lot at once, or listening and thinking about a lot at once. focusing on too much a once.using a comp in the class

Do you go to a particular café on that day? Eat the same thing? Who do you sit next to? Could they have any electronic devices on them? Have you tried sitting in different areas? Are there windows in your other rooms? How intriguing!

It's not that strange. When I was in college I experienced the same thing. My class was held in different rooms,in different buildings. I never hardly sat in the same seat. IMHO I believe the professors voice would trigger my CPS. Or in some cases sleep seizures. This problem only happened in his classes.

There was a news story a while ago about a woman that suffered a similar thing. Take a look here:

This is interesting as I go to college too and I've wondered if my activity increase has been due to the changes in my schedule. I try to keep it as normal as possible but every once in a while I have to change it for some reason or another. I'd be interested to find out what you figure out about your professor and you own activity, adriana_alicea.

How long has it been since the class started?

If you're sleep schedule has changed it may take your body some time to get used to the change. Are you having to get up earlier than you did before taking the class? Are you getting the same ammount or less sleep as you were before starting school? Do you drink any coffee or other drink with caffine in it to help you stay awake? How stressful is the class?

Lack of sleep, sleep schedule change, caffine and stress are all seizure triggers for me.
