I know low blood sugar is a trigger but not for me even though every seizure I had in the hospital last week they did a blood sugar test. I use to work with a guy who had low blood sugar He would by a candy bar if his blood sugar was low.

Might be because twice now had too have glucose gel off paramedics nasty stuff but still strange tbh

For some people, blood sugar levels drop drastically before or during seizures, so it's possible that a quick hit of sugar right afterwards will help. Dehydration post-seizure can be a problem too, so kill two birds with ones tone and drink some OJ.

I have diabetes and epilepsy, so I walk a tight line. If my blood sugar drops drastically, that could potentially cause a seizure for me, although it has never happened. Back in December when I had the car accident due to the CP seizure and 911 was called, (my neuro had given me the ok to drive at the time) the paramedics checked my glucose and it was high- over 200. For me, the glucose level should be 80-120. The lowest it has been for me is in the 40's. I've not suffered a seizure when it has been that low.
And last week when I was in the hospital for the battery replacement of my VNS, my glucose level skyrocketed. They kept me in the hospital extra time to get it back down, they gave me an extra insulin shot.

So for me, it seems like my blood sugar skyrockets if any sort of trauma happens in my body.

My father had both E and type 1 diabetes Cint. Into some lives a little too much rain doth fall.
