Do you have visual disturbances after you regain consciousness & a headache and tired for many hours? What do you remember about the seizure? Thanks.

I am not sure what visual disturbances are, but I have a major headache, sore muscles and some short term memory loss. I also spend a good part of the day sleeping. I don't remember the seizure itself just coming in and out of it.

I don't usually remember anything about the seizure. Unless someone was there to witness it, I've had to figure it out after the fact. If I've injured myself, then the new aches and pains or injuries are a clue.

No post-seizure visual disturbances. Usually I sleep for quite a bit. In one case, I was pretty dehydrated, so until that was discovered (at the ER) I felt extra out of it.

That sounds pretty typical for a tonic seizure ,my wife has witnessed most of mine. I also will sometimes bite my tongue. The sore muscles and tiredness are good signs of a seizure. Get lots of quiet and sleep and stay hydrated. Good luck to you.

The last generalized seizure I had, I woke up with visual and auditory hallucinations and was generally very confused. I was also very weak throughout my whole body. I was so weak it took all my effort just to roll over onto my back. I was unable to sit up or stand.

Otherwise, I experienced general confusion and disorientation after the seizures I had. I wouldn't say I was tired necessarily, but definitely had severe muscle soreness and a lack of mobility from pulling muscles and tendons. No headache. I can say that my memory for a few days after having a seizure is spotty at best as I cannot remember random bits of my hospital stays.

I do not remember having my generalized seizures as I was unconcious from the start of the seizure.

I almost never know that I've had a seizure unless there is someone there to see it happen. I get headaches after most of my seizures so if I have one then I think I've probably had one.

I have done things during a seizure and I'll know I've had one then. I do crossword puzzles and a few times I'll look at the page and see I've scribbled all over it. Once the dishwasher was loaded in a very goofy way and I thought my husband had done it. He told me that he didn't put any dishes in the dishwasher and that's when I realized that I'd loaded it while I was having a seizure.

most of mine are
as I am in light sleep or waking up so my wife informs me of some of the strange things I say or do as I am coming out of them.

Asking a person simple questions is a normal thing to do when they are coming out of a seizure. Asking them where are they, what is their name, who the person is that is asking them questions, picking up an object and asking what it is are some examples. When they start answering them right is when you know that the seizure is probably over.

When I'm coming out of a seizure I don't really know what's going on. I might understand what he's asking me but I just can't put 2 and 2 together to answer it right.

My husband will ask me questions that I didn't answer them right. Once he asked me what his name was and I said it was the cat's. I knew he wanted me to tell him a name but just didn't understand that it was his that he was asking for.

My wife will ask me questions too, and I might say I am in.California even though it has been ten years since I have lived there.

I don't always remember my seizures, I do remember my focal seizures sometime and always remember my simple partial sz's.

I'm just a little out of it for a while, my tonic-clonic I always know I've had one because I've hurt myself.

When I have one I don't remember that I've had one, and wouldn't have a clue other than I nearly always bite my tongue pretty bad. I'm always really sore, like I had been at the gym for the last two hours, and get a splitting migraine. Usually, I need to rest for most of the day, too.

The worst is definitely when I bite my tongue or the inside of my cheek.

I remember the aura of the area rotating to my left always. Then blackout till in ambulance. My seizures are from a stroke. My only gran mal I was awake for the whole thing. It was aweful. Every part was freighting. Glad i black out even though I get some injurys
