hiya all been havin seizures for past 20 years and been on meds with usual side effects , have just put up my medication due to low levels and have not stopped itching bruisin and headaches
anyone else suffer from these

I get the odd headache but I don't know if it's from my Tegretol. I know that I occasionally get strong vertigo that I"m sure is from the tegretol though.

Hopefully it'll just take a little time for your body to get used to the new dosage.

Hi tracy, welcome to CWE!

What meds are you on? Maybe you can talk to your doc about switching. Headaches are a pretty common side effect, but itching could be a sign of an allergic reaction.

You can search for info on a particular topic here on CWE by using the search tab at the top. Also free to post additional questions and explore all the different forums here.

Best,
Nakamova

I just remembered that I used to itch when I had grapefruit before I knew not to take it with tegretol.

The 2 things about Tegretol that I never knew for a long time were not to eat grapefruit when on it and to always have something in your tummy before taking your tegretol.

Are you avoiding grapefruit & not taking it on an empty stomach?
