Just thought I would follow up.....I survived the colonoscopy :) The prep drink was terrible!!!! I actually could only gag down half of it, then I decided that they would have to make do. (do..get it? like doo-doo!)...anyway, I was alert the whole time and even watched the procedure on a video monitor. I was out of there with in a half hour after it was complete. I did have some polyps, so I guess it was good to have the test. Now I am just waiting to hear if I have to go back in 3 or 5 years instead of the normal 10. Whichever it is, they will have to come up with a different prep because this girl refuses to "drink" that crap (haha..crap) again!

Haha you nutter. It doesn't sound very pleasant but at least you'll have peace of mind. Doesn't it also make you feel much better, like a detox? Haha doo do..

oh husky that's too bad! I guess it's a US thing, over here we are out for it and the drink is orange-flavoured; not pleasant but not that bad.
Sorry to hear about the polyps, I was worried about that too (yay, no!), but hopefully it's all good when you hear back. Glad it's over with ey!

Must feel great to be done with it. I'm hoping that by the time I need one of those tests, all you have to do is swallow a tiny camera-pill...

Yeah! It's done! Well, at least you'll know what to expect in 3 years from now! I hope the polyps don't become problematic.

I guess that the drug they do give you does put most people to sleep. I must be an over achiever by staying awake. You don't really feel anything at all. Hopefully that is because of the drug. I would hate to think that I would not notice if someone was poking around back there :)

I hope that there is a pill too by the time I need to go back, or at least something that I can mix with Pepsi!

The one bathroom turned out to be no big deal. but I had told my husband that if he was in there when I was "hit" with the sudden urge, to be ready to be yanked out of there, or at worst, to share the space. Icky, I know, but after 31 years of marriage, what is left that we don't already know about each other :)
