ok guys i cant for the life of me figure out what that smell is when i get my auras!, its not a nasty smell, its just a smell of something and i cant work it out! those of you that have auras how have you described the smell you get?? maybe ill work it out so i can explaine 'That Smell'

I sometimes get a musty/moldy smell.
During the last bad seizure (last night) I had something new - a burnt coffee smell. I don't know if it was real or not because I haven't smelled it before, but it was at 4 AM so . . .??

To me it is a mixture of burning sugar and burning tires.
Sometimes it is an acidic smell like a cat litter box that hasn't been cleaned in a long time.

wow a lot of of you describe it as a burning...... if mine is a burning smell I cant figure it out I so far describe it as a sweet almost aroma, but that's as good as I get..... Pyro in the making lol

The two reoccurring smells I get are either like something electrical smouldering or a strong lemon-scented toilet cleaner. They last for a day or two and then just go.

What’s even stranger is - I have no sense of smell. I started losing it about the same time as the epilepsy began and 26 years on I can’t smell a thing other than these strange smells every so often.

Ever stick your tongue on a 9V battery when you were a kid? It smells like that tastes.

Wow, you are the first person I have heard say that the smells last for a day or two. Mine do to. It seems like most say just a few seconds or minutes at the most.

The strange, annoying smells and the exhaustion that come with them are the worst symptoms for me.
