Lost my work-seizure virginity today 😑 I knew it would happen sooner or later, I've been lucky up until now that they've always happened at home. It was only a simple partial but I asked my boss to come into the back room since he is the first aider. He was good, just sat with me until it passed and I stopped shaking.

Annoyingly though, this is only just three weeks since my last one. I've been having simple partials roughly every two months this year, but this is the closest two have been. Not good :(

I'm having a bit of an existential crisis at the momentum in regards to work so I'm feeling a bit hopeless. Hey ho, gotta get on with it I suppose! In a weird way I feel calmer after it, because now I know that it wasn't that bad and that everyone is cool with it and my boss was great with me.

Sorry you lost your work-seizure virginity and hope you get back to feeling like yourself soon.

No fun. :( I was once in the "it will only happen to me at home phase." And then I was in the "it will only happen to me once every few months" phase. And now I know my brain is just plain unreliable.

I'm glad that your boss took it in stride. That's a silver lining.

Wow. Your story made me cry. I am so glad to hear that you came out OK. AND. That you're a person who really understands what is like. I had a big one yesterday at the Buddhist temple during yoga scary .

Hi Howll,

I'm sorry to hear that you had a seizure at work, it's happened to me many times and I work in a public school so both the students and staff see my seizures happen but just like you they are very understanding and think nothing of it. I wish you only the best and May God Bless You!

That's for the encouraging words guys. This week has been generally crappy, I'm still feeling "off". Hard to explain but it's like all of my thoughts and memories have been put through a blender and I'm trying to glue them back together. Anyone else feel weird for days after a seizure? It could just be anxiety related, I dunno.

Hols Your Head High!

Howll,
Having a seizure at work can be a depressing thing to the person who has the seizure. Don't let having that seizure get you down! Your boss sounds like the kind of boss many of us wish we had! All too often a boss has no understanding and has the belief that they want nothing to do with an employee that may cause them to be anything other than a person who gives orders.
You may feel like you can't trust yourself to be who you want yourself to be, but that is something that a person w/E has to learn is NOT the true you! You can trust yourself! It is a condition that you have that is causing the problem, NOT YOU!!! :twocents:
