Sharon,
Everytime I see that cake picture I crack up laughing! :roflmao:
Take Care everyone. -Julie
is in reference to the photo below...

HOW did it all come to being?

It is a very old special photo, because I have my
mother's mother Sunbeam mixer with all the works
and I will personally "*murder" anyone who breaks
or touches it! (Ask my ex, who really did break one
of the attachments, but fortunately my other Aunt
who had the same mixer, had the same attachment
who never used it ... NO ONE touches that mixer or
the very early 1800s Griswold huge cast iron skillet
pan that's gone from generation to generation).
* - figure of speech, but I really get fuming mad!
It is one of Sunbeam's first mixers that came out, and
it's very rare to find one with all of the attachments and
being fully functional and even better yet - still in use.
It is my baby!
I've practically KILLED (literally) every single modern
mixers that have been out there - including the one
given as a wedding present! Modern mixers do not like
me, I swear manufacturers have a special "encoding"
on them with my name on it somewhere that if "I"
touch it, they are to DIE, DIE, DIE!

Nevermind to the fact that I spent $$$ one day on a
commercial mixer ... laugh all you want, I killed it!
Brand spanking new, it died on me!
:gnite:
I cannot even use "modern" sewing machines, for only
"I" can get those machines, even at a demonstration
event, can get a bobbin in a mangled perverted mess
and things in such a dire dilemma, where the Saleswoman
would send me "OUT!" My mom had to take away her
60s Era sewing machine because no matter how many
times I've used it properly (YES - that's P-R-O-P-E-R-L-Y,
because she was hovering over me closely and watching
me with Eagle's eyes!) and yet, I've managed to end up
having her mad because I've sent that thing into a dire
pathetic mess!
I sew perfectly and flawlessly on Singer's 1st Public
Version of their Treadle Sewing Machine, for my mother's
mom taught me at a very early age how to use it, and I've
become a master at it. I've made everything from costumes
to quilts to drapery with it, by hand and foot. (Human Power)
Likewise with my other equipment; I have 2 irons, one that
everyone else uses (modern) and one that's very, very old
cast iron and a vintage late 1930s GE Iron (still have the box).
Those are the only ones I can use. I've killed every single new
iron that's come out.
I have no luck with new modernized electrical small appliances,
they hate me! Well, when I was an eBay Seller, because of
my knowledge; one of the Sellers who had a Sunbeam (a
newer model) - her machine broke and wasn't repairable,
sent me the attachments (so I actually have additional
accessories that actually fits, so I use those instead of the
originals) ...
So one of the Sellers also is a Vintage & Antique Collector,
and knowing of my hideous disaster with modernized
small appliances, her smart aleck hubby of hers - but so
funny - actually took the time to make that mess and did
that on my behalf ... and dib it as "my work".
:?
It was downright hilarious! (While both of them have passed
away, with him not too long ago) That photo I've been using
for years - many people have asked permission to use it, and
they are more than welcomed to - all you need to do is right
click and save it.
I've had a lot of people who made comments that it looked
like that a HORSE stepped on it (it really does) ... *laughing*.
But I DO NOT make cakes like that (thank goodness)... but
it's so danged cute! (But it is a good thing it was their mixer
and as far as the mess when, well, from what his wife said,
HE had to clean it up, but the cake was danged good!)
:roflmao:
However - I nearly gotten "thrown out" of a Television Store
but they couldn't find any magnets in me. But one of the Sellers
felt that I had too much "negative polarity field" in me, and
the only way to find out is to take my hand that I was normally
born with (Southie - southpaw - left-hand) - and go to an
old Television Shop, and walk across the television screens
that are on (colorized) and if my hand distorted the pictures
(which can be easily fixed in a jiffy with a electromagnet) and
that I did in a Vintage and Antique shop and I was surprised
at what had happened! The Owner there accused me of having
a magnet, but when he saw I had no magnet, he was confused,
then assumed it was static electricity. (??)
Then we headed to another Shop (Pawn) and there were a
couple of old Color Sets running and same thing happened.
It freaked me out!
We then headed to the mall (since that was where we were
going anyway), and while we were looking at some watches;
(Watches ALWAYS dies on me) - my (ex) hubby had a big
mouth and made a comment about all these expensive watches
he's bought for me that's always died on me, and that Jeweler
then remarked it may very well be because I have a strong
polarity field, some people just have stronger polarity fields
than others, so they do have watches that have a protective
shield that keeps that from happening. I had that watch for
a very long time until it became damaged.
I have been trying to find on research on polarity fields on
individuals, and only came up with one finding but it was
too vague and inconclusive.
Being the electrician that I am, I figured, maybe it would be
a good idea to install an extra grounding, and so far, it's
been working! Gee whiz!
Now and to try to tell that to a Medical Doctor, I get smirks,
but there was only one Medical Doctor who was familiar with
it because he had it too and understood the difficulties that
were associated with it, but he did comment one thing ..."We
cannot get lost."
Then it all clicked - he's right; when I'm not out of sync and
in normal mode, I can't get lost. It's almost as if I have a
"built in" compass in me. I've been in strange places, even
out in hunting in new areas, and never gotten lost.
Neurologists have argued it's déjà vu and I'm not too sure if
it is all that. Because déjà vu won't blow up small electrical
appliances if you think about it!
