Ive always thought this-Why do people walk up escalators? Doesnt that totally defeat the purpose?

Sorry Nick,It was thought for the day and today thats mine!!!

Life is a race? Aaaaaaaaaaw what about those off us who just like to chill out and aint bothered about coming first!

Life is a journey
Each person walking their path alone
Hearing others as they walk their paths
Reaching out - together in their aloneness
Always returning, each to their journey

'Never forget that life can be nobly inspired and rightly
lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid
adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown
country, to meet many joy, to find many comrade,
to win and lose many a battle'

So if that is true why do we not remember something we already new but forgot? Lol!

why live every day as though it were your last?
would it be better to live every day as though it were your first?

It seems like every party ever I go to that involves a litter of knee high children running around and tired parents sitting around a coffee table has a common topic come up.

Poo filled diapers. Parents seem ok with going into way too much detail. Flying crap, crap on the walls, watery crap, hard crap. Just crap in general. But every now in then some stories stand out.

The best one I heard from a children's birthday party last weekend involved a 2 year old and a .25 cent sticky hand. Apparently while changing the child's the diaper she found an odd colored tail hanging out of the kids butt. Like most people she just had to pull. Evidently it stretched and stretched until a poo covered "thwap!" hit her hand. She apparently had just pulled an entire sticky hand out of her child, and it high fived her.

That was enough right there for her to go through the entire house and destroy every gummy and sticky toy in the house. They have been banned on site ever since.

The emotion on her face as she told that story absolutely sold it for every one in the room. It was like a flash back from 'nam or something similar, just a little bit much for her. I think her hands shook a little.

Why wait for the light at the end of the tunnel..
jump there and switch on the lamp :)

My thought for the day…

I have made this poem into a video with beautiful nature scenes, but I can't put the link on here yet as I'm new. But I will post a link to it on my youtube channel which is alicepalacereynolds, when I have been here for long enough.

It's called Deep Peace

I belong to the tide
I belong to the sea
All of it's changing and restless life
All of it's ceaseless and endless strife
These are part of me
But here is a peace in the depths of the sea
Like the peace that is deep in the heart of me
