Hi to all of my new friends here. Well, after four really miserable days of breakthrough complex partial seizures off I go to have a blood test this morning. I have recently increased my Tegretol but apparently my body may not be absorbing it properly which is why I have taken a step backwards. I thought I was going well until four days ago. I have felt like I've got a hangover the entire time which really ticks me off when I am not drinking! I admire all of you that have had epilepsy for a long time because I am new to it and find it terribly frustrating. Trying to deal with it but have had a few tears over the last few days. My poor wonderful husband must think I am a fruitcake!

Well that sucks and im sorry your going through these days. I'm in the same boat, its kind of ironic. I've been dealing with breakthrough for about 4-5 days and before that I was doing so so. And im just starting tegretol now.

It is frustrating espeically when you were having seizure free moments and E rears it's ugly face again. Though hopefully the increase can get you feeling more with it. I always hated the increases in certain meds. That hangover feeling is yucky!

Nothing wrong with getting upset, this all messes with our minds. Just hope things start to stabilize asap.

Thanks heaps for your support. Good luck to you my friend. I hope you have sunshine ahead.

Setbacks suck. I hope you can get back on track soon Sandie. And you too, MTF!
