Hi,
My name is Andrew, I am totally new to the forum and have a few questions...forgive me if they are redundant, but I am a bit worried.
I have had strange deja vu episodes for a few years (about once a year) I have always passed them off as anxiety, until I researched more a few months ago.
What happens is that I will see or hear something that will trigger what seems to be a memory of a dream from the previous night...for instance, today I drove by a restaurant and remembered that in my dream, that restaurant was supporting some race...then I am overcome by a full body rush of adrenaline, accompanied by a burning in my nose with a strange smell. The episodes last around 30 seconds, and afterwards I am tired and fell a bit "out of it". When I try to explain it, people think I am crazy!
I went to the doctor today, and actually had one while they were getting my blood pressure...it went up to 150/118 and my pulse was 125, also started sweating. 5 minutes after the episode my BP was back down, and pulse was 88. Doctor gave me a few options...a blood test to test my thyroid, a 24 hour urine test for adrenal galnds, ordered an EEG (and possibly a MRI) to test for TLE, and a referral to a psychiatrist to explore anxiety.
So, any insight? These Deja Vu episodes really suck!
Thanks!!!
Andrew
