We had an answering machine years ago,
and it went like this:

(in a very quiet shushed voice)

"Hi you have reached the XXX residence,
we're playing Hide & Go Seek with our
Son, and He's it - leave a message ...
(in background yelling) Dadddddyyyyyy I see
youuuuuuuuuuuuu!" (BEEEEEEEEEEEEP)

People would be laughing too hard to
leave a message ... you could hear
laughing all the time....

And oh? For the messages? We rarely
ever received any ...

He had people call just to hear his braying. It's too funny!
