Before I started Topamax, I found out I had sinus disease, and there is a mucocele in my frontal sinuses. there is also some impairment to drainage.

I read recently that Topamax can cause sinus problems, does this mean that at my next ENT (Ear, Nose and throat) appointment that I would need another MRI scan to check if the Topamax has made any of it worse?

Oh, this is a good one to ask your ENT. He'll decide on whether you need another MRI, Topamax or no Topamax. Just be sure he knows all the meds you are on.

FYI... I had sinus surgery and STILL have problems with infections. humph. I swear that lamictal has depressed my immune system. My neuro says no. I say yes.

Thanks. He made no mention of surgery or any procedures despite the mucocele, and it was only the locum that spotted most of the problems that he didn't (one was so obvious, even I noticed it so not quite sure how he missed them at first). Won't be seeing him till September.

I asked my GP while I was there for something else and he said just to wait until the appointment till September and there's no point in getting an earlier appointment if the headaches aren't back. But I am sneezing a lot lately despite anti-histamines, which I told him. So don't know if that's relevent.
