Hello...I am reaching out!
My husband 61 has recently (over the past week) had two seizures, during the night or early morning. They cannot find anything medically wrong with him, but have put him on anti-seizure medication. He has never had a I noticed about a month, before he had the first seizure, he started repetitively saying "uh huh" or making groaning sounds, especially when he would clear his throat (to the point that it became very annoying). I researched Tourette's Syndrome & seizures today (post seizure)and found this site. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? I did read some posts that talked about tourette's & seizures.

Welcome. I would be inclined to see a neurologist and investigate further if this continues. It must be extremely frustrating for both of you. I do hope some of the lovely people here can shed a light on your problem. Take care.

Hih nenprncess,

I think it would be unusual for Tourette's to show up at age 61. But the symptoms you describe do suggest that something else neurological is going on with your husband, and may well be related to the seizures. He could have been having what are complex partial seizures -- they sometimes feature involuntary sounds or movements. And both the verbal tics and the convulsive seizures could be secondary to some other condition such as TIAs (mini strokes). Let the neurologist know about any and all things that you have noticed about your husband's health/habits/and behavior over the past year -- even if you're not sure it's relevant.
