Yesterday I had just put something into the oven for my sons' breakfasts, and apparently had a complex partial seizure. The next thing I knew, I was 'coming to' on the kitchen floor. My younger son saw me starting to stumble as the seizure began, & literally kept me from falling onto the floor. He called out to my older son, who ran to help him.

In the afternoon, I went out to rake some leaves in the front yard. I started talking to our neighbor, & had another complex partial. I had no idea--about 45 minutes later, when I was fully out of it--I found myself back on my sofa. When I went outside again, she said that she had recognized the look coming over my face as a seizure , & helped me back into my house to prevent injury. I thanked her very much--she actually thought I might be upset for she had done!

Hi Sabbo,

I'm sorry to hear that you had the seizures complex partials can be a pain sometimes. There's been times when my cp sz. have lasted longer than usual and that usually has happened when there's really bad weather coming my way or if I'm sick with a cold and the cold meds. mess up the seizure meds I'm taking. I hope you are feeling better and maybe you should get your drug level checked to make sure it isn't to low. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

I almost never know that I've had a seizure unless there was someone there to see it happen. I'll just come to and the person will say "You just had a seizure" and I had no clue.

I will know that I've had one if there was no one to see it happen is when I've been doing a crossword puzzle and when I come to I see that I've scribbled all over the page. Also I might come to in a different room that I was before I had the seizure like start out in the living room and come to in bed with my clothes on instead of PJs, I tend to walk during my seizures at times. Also I might have a really bad headache, which I'll get after seizures, which means I probably had one.

I've even had some Complex Partials where I change my clothes. Once, I was getting ready to go out when I had one, and when it was over, I was in my pajamas again! I was alone at home, waiting for my mother, so I knew that I must have had a complex partial.

Kinda suprising what we do when awareness is "impaired." I had a tonic-clonic at a family member's hosue where I "came to" in the laundry room. My leg was bloody. Time for some detective work...Eventually I figured out that I must have had a seizure in which I kicked and broke a glass cabinet and cut my leg. In the post-seizure fog my instincts apparently took me to the laundry room to clean up...

I bet sleepwalkers must have similar tales to tell!

Sabbo, I hope you feel better soon.
