I just posted a little bit ago about nothing showing up on his thread about trying to get this all figured out..

The doctor just came in and told us that as of 6:25pm yesterday that he had one of his spells & during it [it was a little longer than they had been here] it showed 5 or so seconds of abnormality and it was coming from the right side!

Keeping him until tomorrow to try to get some more information.
Thanks for all the support you guys!

I shouldn't feel so relieved to hear that my husband has epilepsy, but I just feel SO relieved that we're officially on the right track to getting this pinned down and getting him on the right medicine!

UPDATE: going for a PET scan this afternoon to pinpoint where the seizures are coming from!

I understand the relief you feel. When it comes to health matters, dealing with an unknown is oppressive and disorienting. Having a known diagnosis gives you a direction, and the prospect of treatment.

Thank you :)
Do you have any experience with SPECT scans? He had one done yesterday, but won't get official results of that until 11/28. -fingers crossed we get answers-

This one guy at the hospital kept saying it could be an electrode artifact, but my DH's neuro is the head over the EMU and was very adamant about it being epilepsy and put him straight back on medicine immediately following that.
