My partner & I had to go to the city yesterday so I could have a review with my neurologist and neuropsychologist.

Usually I'd just have telehealth appointments with the neuro but this time it was face to face.
I expect it was because of my last seizures being focal seizures a couple of months ago.

The neuropsychologist appt went for over an hour, 1st ask my partner and I some questions then she kicked my partner out and did a serious of memory tests on me. Ive done a few of these evaluations and I swear I come out with a tiny headache 🤪

The neuro was happy with my seizures as they'd reduced plenty but I'm getting a lot more headaches so he told me which pain killers to take for headache and gave me a script for painkiller for stronger headaches.

I see him again in 3 months

It's good that your appointment well. I have been doing most of mine by telehealth also. This way my husband does not have to take the time off to take me. My neurologist is in Chicago, & I live in the suburbs. When he was working remotely, I always took an early morning appt. so he'd take a couple hours off and then work a couple hours more in the evening.

Thank you

The epilepsy clinic I go to only runs Monday afternoon after 1:30pm. For the last couple of years ive been doing telehealth as it's easier as I live almost 4 hours each way from the hospital.

But I expect the neurologist & Neuropsyh mightve both wanted to check how I'm going since my my last tonic clonics(which affected my memory) in Nov / Dec.

From now on I should be back to telehealth with only the neurologist.

I find telehealth easier but I get called in every so often to check my meds
Yes telehealth is easier for me because of the distance but I expect they wanted to do a check up.

It's also always nice to catch-up with my nurse and neuropsychologist as well 😉

I agree with you about often needing/wanting to meet your doctors in person--not via telehealth. Telehealth has made it easier, though, for those of us who rely on others for all of our transportation needs. My neurologist office is really good. I always email them when I have breakthrough seizures--especially complex partials, even though I keep a written log as well which goes with me to appointments.

Same
I usually email my neuropsychologist or nurse if there are changes

But other wise I note my seizures for my neurologist
I used to type them but I recently moved in with my boyfriend and not set my printer up so if need be I'd hand write or take my iPad

Last visit which was last week, I'd only had 2 seizures to report which isn't bad
