I was talking to a NP the other day who suggested maybe trying Vistaril for my anxiety. I've had bad luck with Klonopin. Xanax was ok but I only took that once in a while. I am just wondering if anyone has had vistaril make seizures worse?

Well, yesterday someone told me buspar worked better(for them) and won't make seizures worse. I looked up both meds and found that buspar is used a lot with people who have both epilepsy and an anxiety disorder but it said it's a newer medication so I'm not sure if that is why so many Drs use it or if it really is safer. I still couldn't find much info about vistaril. The person who wanted me to try that told me it has anti-histamine properties kind of likw benadryl but without the drowsiness. I could really use anti-histamine because of my allergies but I can't figure out if it would be safe. Right now my seizures seem to be 98% controlled with trileptal.

Visitril causes me restless legs and agatition just like benadryl. Visitril does not cause quit the same sevirety as benadryl. My neuro told me not to take meds that cause me agatition.
