I was just at the neurologist yesterday for a regular check up & she raised the stimulation on my VNS. Today I have started getting chest pains, especially when it turns on. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I call my neurologist??

I have the VNS and have it at a high setting but have never experienced chest pains, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen to others. I would call my neuro if it were happening to me.

Really? Well, I might call my doctor then cause I haven't had chest pains with the implant before. Kinda worrying me.

I've had my VNS for about 5 years now and I've never had any pain with it. I'd defently call the dr and find out if there may be something going on.

I will say that my VNS has been bugging my chest

I will say that my VNS has been bugging my chest and the stupid doctor I see say's no it can't be the device it's that fact the your a heavy smoker well then why the hell does it only bother my left upper chest wall N' armpit area ligaments along with my jaw not my whole chest area????? Don't get the POS device it's not worth the daily intervals of minor pain, I'm a smoker it's the damn wire or something recently started bugging a nerve cause I know there ain't a lung in my front chest wall bugging me like the damn neurologist tries to make it sound..... Lungs are in your back....

I had to go to pain specialist when I had the VNS because of the pain I had.It happened several times with me ; so this can be a common thing to happen.
