okay I'm sure you can figure this one out.

Walmart and seizures! What is everyone's experiences/connections?

My story: I actually work at Walmart as a cashier. My first one, in fact my first several happened there. After a few months I started getting them at home, and I believe during my sleep too. But Walmart does seem to be where I have about a third of my episodes now.

Walmart gets mentioned over and over here, the lighting definitely seems to be a trigger for a lot of people :(

I had a seizure in Walmart parking lot during a snow storm the beginning of this Febuary. Thankfully I was on the phone with my daughter (I was looking for her car) and had just told her the isle I was in and then said "oh no" and she knew immediatly what was happening and got to me quickly.

I think the only reason I've had them in Wal Mart is because it's one of the only places that I go when I leave the house. I don't think anything in the store itself brought on the seizure.

I've had them in K-Mart too, which is a store similar to WalMart. It's also a store I shop in a lot when I go out. A nice woman there offered me a mint because she thought I was diabetic and was going into sugar shock. My husband told her I have epilepsy and was having a seizure but she didn't believe him just kept telling him that my sugar was low and the mint would make me better!

Sometimes the chemical smells and lighting trigger me in those big-box stores.
