My son was diagnosed with Simple Partial Seizures, possible Rolandic Epilepsy in May. His EEG didn't show he most typical pattern for RE, but his symptoms are slam dunks for it. He has had no seizures since then, although he does report a few tongue tingles from time to time. He is on no meds and is really doing well, but I can't help but thinking that we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop. How do you not hover and become a helicopter mom when you have a kids who has seizures? I consider us very fortunate because his seizures are minor and infrequent, but I'm still worried.

I remember that phase. Being proactive helped me cope. Talking it out here at CWE, and then once I knew what was actually improving the quality of my daughters life I was finally able to relax more The she would have a seizure and I felt we were back to square one again time between became longer and longer and now, I rarely think of them. She remains on no meds and seizure free for 1.25 yrs
