About enlightenment...quoted by Wayne Dyer
Enlightenment is the "quiet acceptance of what "is". ( I hear a "Trapping of Mind" - "acceptance" doesn't move.)
WD: I believe the truly enlightened beings are those who refuse to allow themselves to be distressed over things that simply are the way they are." (I hear a "Freedom of Mind" - "refuse" is movement/choice)
My take might not be very sophisticated but when I listen to Dyer I take notes and this was one I found puzzeling because they both sounded the same to me at first.
I don't mean to bring anyone back to Philosphly 101. But I think he's the best! And wonder if anyone has anything to say about the quotes and/or Wayne Dyer. Stretching these quotes to the funny would be a blast, too! (No harm intended to the Philosophers!)
