I think I know why we are so stuck with one snowstorm after another. We made the groundhog mad when we woke him up to watch him see his shadow. Agree? So what do we do now? Around here they eat groundhogs but I doubt that would make him like us again.

Maybe give him a year's supply of his favorite snack foods, plus free cable.

My granddad used to just shoot groudhogs, but I don't suppose that's exactly the politcally correct thing to do?

Naah, that's the farmer thing to do. Partner used to visit his granddad on a farm, and gramps offered him money for every grounhog he got. Partner didn't want to use the gun, so he used a decorative spear he was given as a gift by a family. Needless to say, he never got paid, but gramps got a few good laughs

Exactly.

I lived with graddad for a couple years. I can milk cows and toss hay bales with thr best of 'em. ;)

But I prefer a .22 for small pesty rodent-like creature hunting. Or a bb gun...just don't accidently miss the rabbit and hit the neighbor's buill. *whistles innocently*
