Weaning off lamictal... EEG in 8 days!

Hmm, was that an aura? If it was, it was shorter than my last one.

Was fine yesterday. Developing a headache since the...aura?
 
be careful gal maybe you should have schat with dr before you stop altogether
 
Thanks, we discussed it prior to even getting the EEG scheduled. We agreed on weaning. I'm only on 100mgs of Lamictal so weaning off didnt' take long at all. My EEG is on Wednesday, and I start meds back up that night.

If it was an aura, it was short one, and nothing else has come of that. The last time I had an aura, it was on a Monday, and I had a seizure on Wednesday. So...if I have a seizure tomorrow....well that'd be a bit early.

12:36, been up since 6:30. :/ I was going to sleep in, but children had other plans.

Taught a class, picked up kids from school, ran plumbing errand, took daughter to eye doctor, came home. Did the homework/dinner/get ready for tomorrow routine....only this is usually the point when I sleep.

Lots of tv shows tonight. Having the last coffee I can have, until after my test, right now.
 
Nothing happened.

Waiting for results. Don't know when to expect them. ALmost don't want to hear. I bet it's normal.
 
Can you call and ask when the results will be available?
Are you still off the lamictal? How are you feeling?
 
Despite taking a 3 hour nap prior to going to sleep early, having a normal amount of coffee and either 600 or 800 mgs of motrin, I have a wicked headache.
 
i feel like shit all the time,one reason wanted to come off,your coming off and feeling like shit,this is not sparking hope for me
 
Cazzy, keep in mind that chargingbird tapered more rapidly then someone ordinarily would, in order to be med-free for the EEG. A standard taper would be done much more slowly (over months rather than days) to minimize any withdrawal side effects.
 
I had been med free for 7 days prior to today. Yesterday I felt like shit because I was mentally defeated from not having had a seizure during my sleep study. Today my head hurts likely due to a hormone shift and the shit that I just went through yesterday.

I doubt any of the recent shittyness here has been due to my med withdrawal or re-uptake (this morning at 9 am). If you are concerned about the side effects from your medications, you should definitely talk with your provider. I actually withdrew *MORE SLOWLY* than my provider originally suggested.
