Diagnosed with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy last week, at the age of 36, after my third complex partial seizure within the last 6 months.
Neurologist put me on generic Keppra....and now currently riding the wonderful emotional / mood roller coaster created by this awesome drug  :).....NOT FUN!

Reading everything I can find. Really want to find ways to change my diet, or take herbs that will possibly reduce if not eliminate the need for meds.....this may be a pipe dream but I have to try.

Thanks

Welcome to CWE, although it sucks what got you here. Lots of good folks here and tons of information and support. Make yourself at home :) It's good to be positive and proactive in your approach to managing your E...it really helps. Keppra can be a difficult med to adjust to, just keep your doctor aware if the emotional side effects get to be too much. Taking a good multi-vitamin and an added B-complex has helped me supplement what the meds remove from my system. I've heard it also helps with the emotional roller coaster, as well.
