The Gambler--Kenny Rogers

I've loved country music since I started listening to it when I was around 8. I also listen to music from India & Pakistan (those aren't in English). I've seen that both of these types of music require the singer to have both a good voice and a good songs to succeed.

My Dad used to manage a small music shop in Lahore, Pakistan before he and my mum got married. I think they used to buy the records of the latest hits and make mixtapes for customers. He told me (most of) what he knew about 80s hits and has good stories to tell. He told me about Kenny Rogers and The Gambler. That reminds me, I should try to get some more stories out of him, it's very interesting.

I'm glad you listen to Indian and Pakistani music...I think they have their differences but are very similar in some ways. Do you listen to Bollywood music? Have you heard of Coke Studio? I'm not sure if there's an Indian version of the music show but I've heard that the Pakistani version is very good and I've seen a few performances online. There's a YouTube channel for Coke Studio Pakistan if you're interested.
