I'm not saying this for me. cause i'm just testing out my first med.(and it hasn't worked)
but for others who have gone through alot of testing to see what medicine works, and for some reason nothing worked for you.

Then what? I know there's deep brain stimulation but i wouldn't want that.
So basically you just live with whatever you have?

If the medication you are on isn't helping with your seizures/ the issues you are having with your mobility you should speak to your neurologist as he/she may need to adjust your meds whether it be tweaking the med you are on or trying another med.

Everyone is different, some people may only have to try a couple of medications to help control their seizures & other people may have to try a combination of medications & still not have full seizure control.

If medications do not help control seizures there are other options like different diets, neurofeedback, brain surgery, VNS & deep brain stimulation.
Not everyone has the same success with these different options, some may have better success then other people.

For me I tried 5 different epilepsy meds, none of which helped control my seizures so my neurologist & I discussed surgery. I had surgery in March 2011 & since then I have had good seizure control with just some very minor issues which do not affect my life.

Unfortunately there are some members on this forum who have tried everything - medications, surgery, VNS & still do not have full seizure control.
