Since sunday, Ive been feeling "off"... having that feeling of like a seizure is wanting to start... and sunday night, and monday night Ive had seizures during the night. Tuesday night I had that feeling, with stiffness... but it didnt lead to any jerking I normally have during the seizures.

With all of this going on, I havnt had much sleep. Causing me to crash today after the kids got home from school. I woke up this morning with bags under my eyes. I know I need to get more rest and sleep... I plan to go to bed earlier tonight. But Im still having this "odd feeling" I get prior to seizures.

I did contact my neuro's office on tuesday and was told they think its from a virus. :ponder: The weird thing is that I havnt had any colds or been feeling different as if I was getting a virus.

The seizures just came on sunday night.. and continued monday night.. then tuesday during the day, as I was out with my husband, I was walking in a store, and got this nausea feeling in my stomach, my heart began to race, and I had that funny feeling.... all the signs I get prior to a seizure starting. So this is going on during the day and night.

I just dont want my neuro's office to think this crap is all in my head. I dont know if I should wait a few days to see if things get better or call?

You know going down that road with them isn't going to change anyone's mind. I would ride this out for a little longer. If things get worse then I would imagine meds have to be adjusted.

My gut tells me the exact same thing. I just fear that if I continue to wait and if god forbid this gets worse, the last thing I want to is to have a cluster of seizures or have a grand mal seizure. Now my mother thinks its stress related... but again... Im thinking back to what that nurse told me in May 2011. She kept saying its going to take time for my body to adjust to going from two anti seizure medications, to just one. In the meantime, she has seen people react to new changes over time... sometimes it takes months for any changes to come about... positive or negative. But its been 20 months since Ive been on Keppra XR only. I just am praying to god this is not my body's way of saying It needs more to get a good control over the seizures. I would hate to go back on another medication, but I also cant stand this feeling.

I hope you are feeling better today. I would wait and see if it getts better too. Stress can be the thing to not worry about.... don't worry about worrying.

I agree. If you can wait, that might be the way to go. Since you are not getting a lot of sleep anyway, that could just be making matters worse. I hope that you are able to rest. Let us know how you get on.

last night I ended up taking a benadryl to get some better sleep and it did help. But I woke up feeling SO tired! I got the kids off to school, and Im now home. Im going to plan on taking it easy today and just resting. Today would be a good day to stay in some pjs and watch tv. I'll probably lay down and get some more rest.

hi

hi , i have had different feeling that I know a seizure is going to happen. At times it has gone on for 2 weeks . It's very scary . If your dr.doesn't understand that maybe u might want to try another dr . I usually take adavan if I feel that way . It is fast acting and calms the brain electricity down . jenn
