I don't know when or at which point to draw the line and say okay, the seizure control I am getting is good enough. Is it best to aim for full control so my brain doesn't "program" itself towards seizures, or??? I've really been struggling with this. I've extracted this question from another post because it was embedded in another topic, and because someone else voiced interest in responses as well.

It's always good to aim for full control. The ideal is complete seizure control with zero side effects from whatever treatment intervention is employed.

On the other hand, that's not always possible. Reasons to consider aiming lower (and potentially living with seizures): If you've unsuccessfully tried all the medications and other treatments available to you, or you want to take a break from trying them, or you find the side effects intolerable.
