Why am I having to 'prove' these partial seizures anyway?

speaking of nervous breakdowns Elizzza,when my family doc referred me to cleve clinic neuro-nice old man-when he saw I was female and single with 8 kids he took my hand and told me I had a nervous breakdown but he would give me a sleep deprived eeg-took over a month and at 7am he personally called and told me he made the appt and I was to get a ride to the epilepsy dept the next morning-I was having multiple seizures.He wanted me there that day but I had no ride and considering it takes 3-6 mos for an appt I was impressed.Now I wonder where I would be if it had been normal?In the same boat as alot of you and Im SO SORRY

Good news. My family doctor is now cooperating after I broke down crying on the phone today. She will give a referral and/or records; all the new neurologist has to do is fax her a form.
This was truly stressing me out, because to find a ride to another family doctor, and then another neurologist, and then more tests...and then to have SEVERE OCD on top of all this...I was really bumming! I'm sooo glad I have you guys here on the forum! Thanks so much!

I'm so glad things are finally working out.
On another note, it's amazing what happens when we women finally break down and cry. It seems to have no effect on most other women, but men buckle. They just can't stand seeing us cry. They HAVE to fix it. I can't fake tears and they come very seldom and only under severe circumstances on their own, but when they have appeared - magic. The seas part and my way is easy. Some helpful man is practically paving the way with gold. Too bad it takes that extreme to get results with a lot of folks.
