Thursday morning I woke up completely disoriented and confused. I was dreaming and the dream didn't quite stop when woke up ... it seemed to continue for a few moments. I had no idea where I was or even what day it was. I took me a while to pull it together and get moving. I then proceeded to misplace everything without realizing I was doing it. I had put my phone in my bag the night before. While I was teaching class I realized my phone was missing. My husband found it in our bathroom. I still can't find the questions or my notes for the paper I am writing.

Does anyone else do this? I have had simple and complex partials during the day. I used to have this experience every once in a while when I was younger but not in a really long time (20 years or so).

Thanks,
Susan

I've done similar things when I was post-ictal from a morning tonic-clonic. I assume you didn't have a tonic-clonic, but the cognitive confusion and memory blanks does sound like you may have had a complex partial.

Thanks ...

That is what I thought but I wasn't sure. This is sooo frustrating. Last year I only had three simple partials (March, May, & October). I was able to finally get in to see the neuro for my first visit last December. This year so far I have had 1 simple partial and 3 complex partials (one may have been a TC - not sure as it was at night and DH only woke up at the very, very end).
