well after spending some unwanted time in the hospital thinking that i had damaged my spine as i had lost the feeling in my legs and i couldnt pee with out help i have become that little bit stronger ....

i heard a song on the wireless today and i thought yeah its the only way to get through this .... its a old(ish) song nothing too special but i think the lyrics are so fitting ! ...i dunno how to post you tube vids

here is the lyrics and the song :

tom petty: i wont back down

Well I won't back down, no I won't back down
You could stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down

Gonna stand my ground, won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down
Gonna stand my ground and I won't back down

Chorus
Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down

Well I know what's right, I got just one life
In a world that keeps on pushin' me around
But I'll stand my ground and I won't back down

Hey baby there ain't no easy way out
Hey I will stand my ground
And I won't back down

Good for you Jayde, and Tom Petty rocks!!!

not sure just i went down like a sack of $%^ so i prob just nudged something in my back :(
im doing alright today

im just struggling to stay awake for longer than 4 hours at a time :(

Ah noooooo :(
Take it easy and get yourself better babes
Glad to hear you come out stronger for it, will help you get through all this :)

I just feel i need to talk to some one about the actual diagnosis of epilepsy ... Its funny really as Ive kinda known it was epilepsy before the official diagnosis but now its happened its hard to get it to sink in really its hard to take and to get your head round :( but i suppose it will eventually...

I just Dont know why Im still clustering leading to t/cs :(
I know my hormones are all over the place cause of a mishap but its got really bad with clusters of partials :(

Do you think you might have fallen and injured your back when having a tonic clonic?

Also...sometimes when our Jonathan has a bad tonic clonic he will temporarily lose the use of his legs (but he still pees). Sometimes it's just one leg, but once or twice it was both. This is very rare for him, and usually only happens when he's had several in a day. This loss of use of one or both legs can last a few minutes, a few hours, or one time it lasted for a couple weeks.

Sounds like you did hurt yourself in a fall. I am glad I got posted about you and im glad you won't back down. I'll talk to you soon hopefully, im gonna try to get up early and catch you your time. Damn time zone difference!

I know exactly how you feel babe. 6 months on and im still trying to deal with it and get my head round it.
It will take time babe, just don't rush yourself. You can inbox me anytime if you need a rant and I shall reply as soon as I can.
You have people on here to talk to. Keep talking and be kind to yourself.
Go to your gp and get the details of your epilepsy nurse and explain to them how you are feeling.
Use all the help you can get.
It will come with time. Its very different once you get it in writing.
