(a good number of the Olympic equestrians where older than usual when one thinks of an "Olympian". The British Show Jumper team who captured the Gold had Peter Charles age 52 & Nick Skelton age 54, Canada's Ian Miller is 64, Rich Fellers for the US is 52, Eventer Mark Tod is 56, Japan had the oldest Olympian - Hiroshi Hoketsu rode Dressage at 71 years old. Best of all they are all hoping to go to the Olympics in Rio in 2016! They were a fantastic boost to my confidence - no more for talking about over-the-hill
